Mark Wallis is a computer scientist, software and network engineer who specialises in system architectures, security, compliance (ISO27001, Open Banking and PCI-DSS), project management and education.

With over 25 years of experience in I.T., Mark holds key roles as the CTO of Skript, who are disrupting the Open Banking landscape and as a Director of Hunter Orbit, a boutique consultancy firm based in Newcastle, Australia.

Mark holds a PhD in distributed component-based systems while also lecturing courses such as Enterprise Software Architectures, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networks and Distributed Operating Systems at multiple Australian universities. During his academic career he has been published over 20 times in his research area and presented at numerous conferences domestically and internationally.

In partnership with UnE we provide software development and consultancy skills while working primarily in the health behavioral research space with organisations such as the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).
