Fun times in NYC

Hi everyone.

Sarah and I have enjoyed our couple of days in NYC, but unfortunately tonight is our last night. Yesterday we made an attempt to head up the Empire State Building, only to be told at the last minute that there was zero visibility. Oh well - we spent the remainder of the day at the Museum of Modern Art which was fantastic. Found an excellent BBQ restaurant (mmmm cheese grits) for dinner before heading back to the hotel for some well needed rest (and late night TV)

This morning we caught up with Jono and Emilie. Had a blast of a day. They took us on the subway down to Battery Park where we got some long-distance shots of the Statue of Liberty. Lines were way too long to get on the ferry so we headed up to 1 Liberty Plaza and had a look at ground zero. A quick lunch later we explored some last bits of the city before heading up the "Top of the Rock". That is the top of the Rockefeller building and quite comparable to the Empire State Building. Lots of top shots over NYC - I've attached one below, bit blurry :-(.

Jono and Em spotted a little Japanese restaurant where we had dinner. Excellent food and good quality Sake! A couple of drinks later at an Irish pub and thats out last night away. Tomorrow we will grab a last few photo opportunities before catching the bus to JFK around 2pm. Had an excellent day and it was great to see Jono and Emilie.

Will post again when we are back home in New Yorkcastle.
