Back from LCA08'
So I've been back from Linux.conf.au 08' in Melbourne for a week now
and I'm still trying to process all the information I picked up. On
the plus side conferences like that tend to instill a sense of
motivation into me so since then I've actually managed to pen the
skeleton of 2-3 research papers.
Probably the most interesting project I got hooked on at LCA was
lguest. It's basically a lightweight hypervisor that has been released
in 2.6.24. Currently working on adding suspend/resume support for
guest instances. Slow going though due to my lack of understanding of
how lguest stores register and state information. Hopefully be able to
submit a RFC patch soon.
